When Thomas Golden left Arapahoe City with his friend George Jackson in January of 1859, he had no idea how his fortune was about to change. The pair discovered a massive vein of gold in what we know today as Idaho Springs. After returning from the mountains with their new found wealth, a flash flood washed away their map, and with it, their hopes and dreams.
Over the years, the power of gold fever washed through the town, infecting the locals. Finally, the maps have resurfaced, and you found one! Do you have what it takes to scour the town of Old Golden City for the clues to find Golden’s hidden gold stash?

The Hunt
Your adventure begins at Old Capitol Grille in Downtown Golden where you’ll receive your map and instructions. Come a little early to grab a bite to eat and a pre-hunt beverage! From there you’ll have until 9pm to solve the clues and find the gold. Along the way you can take respite in many saloons around town who will have free or discounted drinks for you, and be sure to keep an eye out for any long-gone Golden City residents who may hold some of the secrets to decoding the map. There may not be a specter at every location, so you’ll need to do a little poking around to find the answers you seek. When you’ve solved the puzzle, proceed to the secret location to claim your prize!
Come Prepared
When you choose a time slot from the schedule, you’ll have a 15-minute window to arrive and check in. For example, if you sign up for the 7pm slot, your group must arrive and check in between 7 and 7:15pm. If you sign up for the later times, you’ll need to act quickly as the ghosts get thirsty and head towards the ending location at 9pm. Be sure to check the weather and dress accordingly, and be prepared to be wandering through the dark. We’ll give you a glow stick to help guide you, but make sure your phone-lights are fully charged.

Aside from great memories, a uniquely fun time, and various discounted beverages around town, the first 400 spirit seekers will receive a commemorative beer glass and other fun prizes, plus a chance to meet and greet your ghoulish guides!
